Edie Sedgwick died at the age of 28, in 1971, from substance abuse, and after having spent time in mental institutions. She was a notable Andy Warhol and Bob Dylan hanger on, a beautiful rich heiress that went down in flames, or rather, in a fog of opiates, nicotine and alcohol.
